La Metairie Neuve is situated in a village called St Capraise d,Eymet,in the southern Bergerac area.
Only 15 minutes away is a beautiful bastide town called Eymet,where you will find many restaurants,cafes,and shops.In the summer, Eymet hold a summer evening market once a week as well as their normal day market.French markets are an experiance not to be missed!!
There are so many activities to do around the Dordogne.You can go canoeing,play golf,swim in the lakes,horse ride, fish,view beautiful chateauxs,visit local vineyards, and thats all within half an hour,s drive of La Metairie Neuve.
Further afield you could try viewing the amazing gorges by Microlight from Domme,visit Parc en Ciel,14 hectares set amongst woodlands,where there are rope and walkways set at different heights amongst the trees.
Go to the Largest private indoor aquarium in Europe,home to over 6000 fish.
Go Karting in Bergerac,and while you are there visit the Aqua Park only 5 minutes away.
In local medieval towns close at hand there are different markets for every day of the week,including night markets and village feasts.
